WISCONSIN RIVER TRAIL NEWS

The WRTO Board would like to thank the Room Tax Committee for gifting the trail with $1500.  That puts us one step closer to building phase 2A to Cozy Acres Mobile Park.  The $2 million dollar grant was sent off last month (WHEW!) and we should hear in the next few months if we were chosen as a recipient.  The last time we applied, we were #35 and the first 33 were awarded, so we have our fingers crossed and have worked hard with TEAM Engineering to continue to our design plans and to land this amazing grant.

     Old National Bank is once again offering $1000 to the most voted on charity in the area.  If you go to: https://www.oldnational.com/specials/community/choose-your-charity   enter your information (They don’t contact you!), add Wisconsin River Trail, 125 Vista Place, Boscobel and the bank of choice is Lancaster, we have a great chance of being awarded this.  Everyone in your home can vote every single day through February 28th.

     Trek the Trail is set for Saturday, May 5th, which also correlates with the re-opening of the Boscobel Depot Museum and our awesome Farmer’s Market.  More details to come, but please feel free to check out our Facebook site for the upcoming events.  This will be a fun run/walk as well as a timed 5 and 10 K event complete with awards.
