512 groupies showed up at Boscobel Bowl & Banquet to dance the night away with our favorite all-time Boscobel bands. Yep….512! We had the very best time and would like to again thank the band members of Fast Action (and Boston Jones!) and Tremor for making us all feel young again! Thanks also to Boscobel Bowl & Banquet and to all who came to support the WRTO! Don’t forget to beg the band members to please….let’s do this again in 6 months! HAHAHA
Boscobel Bowl & Banquet is the place to be on TAX DAY, Saturday, April 15th. Starting at 8 pm, Chicago comedian, Jay Harris (www.jayharris.com), is going to entertain you like never before! Cover charge is just $5.00/person, and there will be a 50/50 raffle too. Come see his “Tax Relief Show”, and take a deep sigh that taxes are done and over with for another year!
Can you tell that spring has sprung? Let’s get outside! Trek the Trail, a 5 or 10 K walk/run, is being planned for Saturday, May 6th at the Boscobel Depot Museum. For $25/single, or $75/family (which includes 2 adults and 2 youth), you will get a t-shirt and a timed race, with medal awards going to all 10 K finishers. After April 25th, cost will be $25 for each entrant (with no t-shirt). Packet pick-up and same day registration will be available at 8 am, with the run/walk starting at 9 am. The course will start at the Depot, follow the Sanders Creek, Wisconsin River Trail to the Von Haden Boat Landing and back to the Depot. If you wish to pay by check, simply print off the registration form (found on the above website), and mail to WRTO, 125 Vista Place, Boscobel, WI 53805. Currently there is an online donation fundraiser going on or you can stop by local businesses to make a donation. Donation spots are at: Trendsetters Salon, Krachey’s BP, and Superior Trophies. With 2017 being the start of our 3rd year, we are asking people to donate $3.00 online by just clicking the donate button on our FB page or look for our buckets at the above local businesses. We will also have postcards to write your name on to hang at the businesses when you donate. This donation drive will run for the whole month of April.
