WRTO WELCOMES THE YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKERS

WISCONSIN RIVER TRAIL NEWS

A huge THANK YOU to those that attended our first 2019 Music at the Mill this past Wednesday night! These events are rain or shine, and of course it rained…but Aquatic Hitchhikers made a rainy night so much fun.

Great work! Thanks to the band, as well as Boscobel High School’s jazz band, who came to entertain the first half hour. I missed it, but heard it was amazing!

A big thank you also to Scott Tueber of Wisconsin River Outings for providing the venue, Kerry McCabe and Darcy Elliott-Wiegel for working the event, and Udder Brothers for their delicious ice cream treats. Next month, on July 10th from 6-8:30, Soldiers Grove’s band, Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers, are going to blast your shoes off, so make plans to come! We’ll have dinner ready again…and Udder Brothers ice cream. All you have to do is bring your chair and beverages of choice. Look the band up-www.sapsuckersmusic.com. You’re going to love them!

This next weekend, the WRTO is going to be serving pulled pork sandwiches and running the concession stand at the Kronshage Park baseball field. Chef Jeff’s Mobile BBQ is coming down from Fennimore to provide the very best pulled pork sandwiches right off the spit, so if you smell something delicious in town, head to the ball diamond. Times are Friday night from 5-8:30 pm, and Saturday morning 8 am-7:30 pm.

Next week there will be an article about a local, kind-hearted motorcycle club that contacted us to donate to our group from their fundraiser. Thank you VROC group from the WRTO! We appreciate your donation and your support!

PS-If anyone has a photo or two to share from Music at the Mill-please share! I was trying to find one to specifically thank our amazing kids and our band leader! 🙂 Have a great week. Denise
