A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to all who came to the circus event on August 11th! Although the weather was hot, we still enjoyed the circus performance! A special thank you goes out to all the businesses that purchased tickets, and the many businesses that donated their tickets back to area children. Many kids wouldn’t have been able to attend without your generosity!
The WRTO is sponsoring the Happy (Wine) Trails bus trip to our local wineries. On Saturday, September 24th, for $40, which includes your transportation, lunch, and wine tasting fees, your day will start by meeting at Timber Lane Coffee Shop at 9:15 am. We’ll be visiting these wineries: Whispering Winds Winery, Spurgeon Vineyards, Weggy Winery, Branches Vineyard, and Vernon Vineyards, with the bus coming back to town around 7:00 pm. Bus festivities will include a 50/50 raffle, lots of snacks, and more fun than one person ought to have in one day! There are only 30 spots on the bus, and it’s filling up fast. To reserve your seat, go to www.wirivertrail.org, select “Store”, go to page 2, and follow the instructions to purchase your tickets, or stop and see Jo Sommers at Community First Bank. Payment is required to save your seats!
The WRTO has already started working on its November 12th Third Annual Hiking/Biking Banquet. If you would like to be on our waiting list for tickets or if you would like to donate an item or a cash amount that will be used to purchase bigger items, please contact Denise at denisefisher5995@gmail.com or call/text 507-269-2606. Tickets are $20/person and include a great meal provided by Boscobel Bowl & Banquet. We’ll have a live and silent auction, table raffles, gun raffles, 50/50, Chinese raffles, and MANY door prizes just for coming. Fast Action, our favorite local band, has once again agreed to play for us starting at 8:30 on banquet night. Cost at the door will be $5.00 for those wishing to enjoy the band only. We sure hope you can come and have an evening of fun with us!
