Sleigh Rides and Snow Shoeing (2016)

February 6, 2016 was an amazing day to visit Boscobel and enjoy a beautiful winter day at Kronsage Park. The Wisconsin River Trail Organization held their annual horse drawn sleigh rides from noon – 4pm at the park and welcomed over 115 riders. Three Witches Stables and Farm from Readstown, WI led two horse drawn sleighs for an enjoyable 15 minute sleigh ride winding through the fresh snow fall from earlier in the week.

Many also took to the park on snow shoe. Paul Brandt School Forest donated snow shoes ranging in children to adults sizes so the entire family could enjoy this winter sport. Newcomers to snowshoeing took advantage of this event to try snowshoeing and it was very well liked!

Hot Chocolate, Hot dogs, and a warm fire also were a part of the days events! As the WRTO reflected on this event and the day, we are overjoyed to have such a great turn out, wonderful weather, and truly loved seeing all the SMILES!

Thank you to Three Witches Stables and Farms, The Paul Brandt School Forest, WRTO Volunteers, and all the event goers for making this day truly memorable. A total near $500 was raised which goes directly toward the WRT initiative. See you on the trail!
