The Taste of Boscobel was a huge hit and we are going to do a 2016 Taste of Boscobel for sure! Again we want to thank Fast Action, Greg Patchak, Stephanie Pendleton, and Barb Halverson for the great music they provided for us. Our favorite singer was little Boston Jones, son of Tom and Katrina Jones. At 2 years old, he is already our up and coming star! We also want to thank the vendors, wonderful volunteers, and especially Mr. and Mrs. K at Double K’s for opening up their business and working hard to make sure everyone had a great time. Winners of the Taste are: Wine-Weggy Winery, Beer-Potosi Brewery, and Food-Double K’s. Make plans to be at this fun event next year if you missed it!
Work is being completed in the form of permits and final draft plans to begin construction on phase 1 of our trail. A meeting is planned again with the Boscobel city staff, DNR, DOT, WRTO board/volunteers, and project engineer, Jeremy Krachey with TEAM Engineering. Receiving this $200,000 grant has been such a blessing. We are so excited to put a shovel in the ground!
We are in full swing for the Hiking/Biking Banquet to be held on November 14, 2015 at Boscobel Bowl & Banquet. The donations are coming in and we are putting together an even better banquet than last year’s! If you are in support of the trail and would like to donate, every dollar helps, or if you are interested in attending, please email me at denisefisher5995@gmail.com for a registration form. Also view our daily donations coming in on our Facebook page, Wisconsin River Trail Project-Event, Hiking/Biking Banquet. We have a new early bird offering this year called bike bucks. For every $20 that you pay before November 1st, we will give you another $10 in bike bucks to use as cash on all the raffles except gun raffles, silent or live auctions. The early bird prize this year is your choice of a Badger or a Packer fire pit ring valued at $200! Seating is very limited so get your forms in right away!
We hope you have a great week! Thanks for supporting our trail!
