WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER! OK, maybe not chicken dinner (until July 3rd), but the Mother’s Day basket winner from Timber Lane Coffee Shop have been selected. The winner of the wine basket was Brenda Nims, and the winner of the coffee basket was Tom Hubl. Thanks again to Marge and Doc Pelz, and Marianne and Karl Krogen for the basket donations.
Did you know that if you order from Amazon online, and you type in Amazon Smile, that you can choose the Wisconsin River Trail Organization as your charity? Amazon then donates 0.5% of your order automatically to our trail, and it doesn’t cost you a penny more! Please add us to your order next time! Every penny helps! Note: It states that the address of the organization is Los Angeles….I am working on changing that, but that is still OUR WRTO even though the city is wrong!
Our first Saturday at the Farmer’s Market has been celebrated! We will try to man a booth every weekend this summer that we have volunteers for. Please stop in, say hello, sign up for our fun happenings, and share your ideas with us!
Our annual WRTO meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 27th at 7 pm at 1404 Wisconsin Avenue. We would LOVE it if you could come and support our trail. We will be voting in some new board members, defining our next year’s goals, and, as always, enjoying each other’s company! We will need more help this year as one of our members is accepting a new job, and we are going to be working hard on making progress for our phase 2 towards Woodman, as well as finalizing our funding and forward progress with phase 1. Even if you have never volunteered before, we’ll take whatever you have to offer! If you aren’t sure if you want to help, come sit in on our meeting and see how much fun we really do have as a group.
Immaculate Conception Church is having a Bless the Bikes (and rollerskates, skateboards, etc) on May 24th after 10:00 church.
